Planning on coming in for a visit?

One week prior to your pet’s visit please be sure that you:
  1. stop any topical medications (sprays, creams, ointments, powder)
  2. discontinue all bathing and swimming
  3. do not give antihistamines nor “steroids”/”cortisone” (prednisone, Temaril-P, etc.)
    • please be sure to contact your veterinarian regarding weaning off these medications
  4. do not give omega fatty acids/fish oil, etc

Injectable "cortisone" cannot be administered to your pet for at least 4 weeks prior to their visit.

Medications for NON-DERMATOLOGIC conditions may continue (insulin, seizure medications, heartworm prevention, flea and tick control), as well as the following that may be being given for the skin:
  1. antibiotics
  2. anti-fungals
  3. Atopica ® (cyclosporine A)
  4. allergy shots
  5. thyroid supplementation

Any questions or concerns regarding these “rules” should be addressed through our office initially, but may require your veterinarian contact the office as well.

Please download and fill out these forms (one about you and your pet, the other is a very important history about your pet to help us with making a diagnosis) and bring them with you to your visit. We can mail (if time allows) or fax them upon request, and if you forget them the day of the appointment, we have extras for you at the office.
